Description
Jersey blueberry is a late-season variety that is easy to grow, high-yielding, and one of the oldest and most widely grown blueberry varieties. The berries are dark blue, medium in size, and very sweet. A tall and well-shaped bush, it has excellent ornamental value. Jersey blueberry bushes produce sweet blueberries that are high in anti-oxidants and are delicious when eaten fresh or when used in baking. Blueberry Jersey produces white flowers in May, which turn to rich blue berries, medium in size and very sweet, which then ripen in late June or July. Jersey blueberry is also an attractive landscape shrub, which grows 5 to 8 feet in height. Reliable producer that tolerates a wide range of soil types, with striking orange fall color. Jersey blueberries require at least 800 chill hours. They are self fertile but will produce better crops if planted with other highbush varieties.

How to Plant
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
