How to Plant
STEP 1) First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need.
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
Care Guide

Plant peach trees in deep, well-drained, sandy soil and in an area with plenty of sunlight. Planting should be done in the spring. Prune once a year, removing vertical branches to encourage lateral growth.

Red Haven Peach 2

Beautiful little tree, approximately 6 feet tall with balanced branch structure. I hope it will be full of flowers next spring! I'll make an update after one growing season next year.

Arrived Healthy and Happy but then...

Our Red Haven Peach arrived a little behind schedule due to Fed Ex delays...when we unwrapped it it was super healthy looking. It was evening and we wanted to do a good job getting her in the ground so we put her inside our greenhouse to avoid a rouge deer feeding...Should have watered it right then but one overnight in the cool didn't seem to be a bad call...next morning she wasn't happy. So far she's hanging in there...no worse but definitely taking her time rebounding. I think it'll all be ok but definitely water your trees upon arrival (unless someone from Plant Me Green thinks differently!)
