How to Plant
STEP 1) First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need.
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
Care Guide

Damson plums are perfect for any soil type but love growing in moist soil. Damson Plum trees are very wind-resistant and can withstand a variety of circumstances. One of the best aspects of a Damson Plum tree is that it does well with little to no maintenance once it is well established. That is why giving your plum tree a healthy start is crucial, so it can produce well for years to come. Because they are self-pollinating, you must ensure you space your tree away from others so they have plenty of room to grow.

Roughed up in shipping

Very wilted upon arrival. Perhaps were not moist enough before shipped. Looked better 24 hrs later after soaking in water. Left in containers in shade with daily watering for 1.5 weeks before planting them with shade cover to minimize heat/sun stress. I hope they make it.
